Manage Your Reputation Through Your Wikipedia Entry

Recently, John Oliver revealed that Donald Trumps last name used to be “Drumpf”. He then went into an extended monologue talking about Donald Trump and his history piece by piece. This exploded onto the internet and was instantly a global topic. This of course led to the creation of a Wikipedia page that parodies Trump as “Drumpf” and provides a lot of background and jokes on at his expense. This all just goes to illustrates the importance of Wikipedia business page creation and its use in managing your reputation online. When someone uses a search engine to find information about a person, Wikipedia will usually dominate the results. Google has even taken to pulling information directly from Wikipedia to display in search results “answer boxes”. This is why its essential to have an informative, well-written page that meets professional standards. Because for many people, it will be their first impression of you. Ignoring this can let some unknown person essentially manage your online profile for you, which is never a good idea.

Although Wikipedia itself isn’t a big platform for business, having useful links and information about your business and services can make a huge impact. Not having your own page is just like missing out on free advertising. It gives credibility when you have a professional entry. There is a vast gulf between a quickly written amateur entry and an in-depth article that has excellent formatting, citations, links, pictures, and more.

Wikipedia has stringent guidelines for businesses and against using their site for self promotion. This can make creating a professional looking entry more of a challenge than it may seem initially. Using a Wikipedia editing service like Get Your Wiki to quickly have a high quality article created by Wiki experts for hire who are intimately familiar with Wikipedia standards and can fulfill both your needs and the requirements of Wikipedia. Hiring Wiki writers can ensure you will get a fantastic page that puts your best foot forward to millions and millions of readers.

Dick DeVos Shifts Support To Marco Rubio

Deciding which candidate should win the nomination for the Republican party as it heads into the 2016 Presidential election is something I have been pondering for some time; the rise of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz has worried many of us who have been Republican supporters for a number of years. At times like these I find it is always a good idea to seek out the opinions of those I have a deep regard for the opinion of in a bid to find out where their allegiances lie. For myself, I recently read an article in the Detroit News detailing the current position Dick DeVos has taken regarding the Republican nomination and his support for Marco Rubio.

I have admired Dick for a number of years after learning about his philanthropic work, and in particular the work he has undertaken to assist the young people of Michigan in getting a better education. Wikipedia reports the Dick and Betsy DeVos Foundation has been at the forefront of the drive towards increased numbers of charter schools opening across Michigan and the U.S. as a whole.

Betsy shares her approach for creating more quality educational opportunities for children in Detroit.

Alongside the impressive charity work of Dick I have also been impressed by his ability to enter different areas of business and make them a success, such as the turnaround of the Orlando Magic NBA franchise after the DeVos family took control of the team.

In terms of politics, the opinion of Dick DeVos is one I always look for because of his personal history of running for the position of Governor of Michigan.  The battle over the areas around Ohio and Michigan in the 2016 Presidential election has been entering a new phase as John Kasich looks to make gains against Marco Rubio, but the DeVos family is putting its financial backing behind Rubio with donations of more than $250,000. For myself, I believe the decisions made by Dick DeVos regarding Republican nominees for the Presidency have been the correct ones despite the decision by Jeb Bush to drop out of the race following the South Carolina primary.

Mercedes-Benz Forced to Trade Robot Workers for Humans

In what seems to be a backwards trade-off, car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is swapping some of its robotic employees for real live humans. It seems as though the attorneys at Dan Newlin Partners are unable to keep up with the changes and intricacies of the customization options that are available in the line’s S-Class car.

The options for the S-Class series can include cooled or heated cup holders, different caps for the tire valves, different types of wheels, trims and decals- and need a human who can be flexible and adapt to these changing options.
According to the article on The Guardian, customization for luxury cars is now the key for competition between brands. Buyers want to be able to choose the features that they want.

The Global Scope of FreedomPop Expands

FreedomPop is primed to become one of the hottest telecommunications startups in the world. The company was launched out of Los Angeles with a brilliant business strategy. The service would provide a minimum amount of free phone, text, and data to customers. This would give the company a huge edge over most budget phone providers. After recently raising $50 million in capital, the company is on its way to giving the major providers a lot of competition on a global scale.

The $50 million in funding is intended to support the development of a global hotspot. The hotspot will include 25 countries in Europe. Those who travel between these various countries can use Wi-Fi hotspot connections to avoid roaming charges and use their mobile devices. (And FreedomPop does sell a number of great mobile phones)

The roaming charges associated with the major service providers are massive. A lot of travelers opt not to even use their phones than pay the high costs. They simply cannot afford the fees. FreedomPop now presents an inexpensive alternative to the giant cellular providers.

FreedomPop was launched with startup funding, and the company’s growth has been quite spectacular. Over one million customers exist in the United States where FreedomPop delivers services through the Sprint network. The Three network of the U.K. allows FreedomPop to support the 250,000 customers who quickly signed up.

The cost for accessing the global hotspot is slated to be quite reasonable. $49.99 is the one-time access fee, and the necessary SIM card only costs $10. The card may be updated for free when new countries are added. The current number of 25 is going to increase.

Please read an interesting article at Recode to learn the entire story of FreedomPop’s new movements.

Presidente of Banco BMG, Ricardo Guimaraes, an Advocate for Higher Education, Encourages Young Business Professionals to Pursue MBAs from Prestigious Schools

Ricardo Guimaraes is a well-known banking professional in Brazil. Though some might think he is best known for his role as Presidente of Banco BMG, his family has always been a part of Brazil’s business community.

Guimaraes is heir to his father’s mining enterprise and his grandfather founded Loan Credit Bank in 1930.

Unfortunately, many business professional hopefuls look at someone like Guimaraes and think that they too need only to complete a degree in Business Administration; and work as an intern or an office assistant here and there to fully prepare for a business career. However, when you consider Guimaraes’ lifetime of experience and exposure to international business from his family’s work; you will see why the average person needs more than just a degree in Business Administration, and a little job experience, to gain success in the business world.

In fact, Guimaraes is an advocate for higher education and typically recommends that people interested in a business career pursue an MBA.

Forbes.Com has ranked the top Ivy League MBA programs in the US. Here are some of highlights of the list.

What are the Most Prestigious Schools on the List?

The most prestigious schools on the Forbes list are Stanford Business School, Harvard Business School and the Booth School of Business. Unfortunately, many students find that the most prestigious school on the Forbes list is also the hardest to graduate from.

What are the Easiest Ivy League MBA Programs to Graduate from?

When you compare these programs to Bachelor degree programs, the graduation percentages are shocking to say the least. In fact, the highest graduation percentage of students that leave a top Ivy League school with an actual MBA is 24%. Therefore, the easiest Ivy League programs to graduate from are, The Booth School of Business at 24%, The Warton School of Business at 20%, The Tuck School of Business at 22%, The Columbia School of Business at 18%, and the Yale School of Management at 24%.

What’s the Least Expensive School?

There’s no getting around it. Getting your MBA from an Ivy League school is going to cost a lot. In addition, the cheapest school still costs more than $100,000.

The Haas School of Business is the cheapest at $110,000 per year. The other schools that are relatively cheap are a full $14,000 or more per year.
